HOW DID YOU GET INTO DISC GOLF?
"I learned about disc golf through my sons who heard about it while attending Texas A&M University. For Christmas in 2003, I bought each of them three discs and bags to get them started, but I didn't think it would be anything that I would get involved in. Both I and my husband, an avid ex ball golfer with a competitive spirit, were needing a form of exercise, so we went out with our two sons to enjoy the weather and see what the sport was all about, the rest is history. We found it to be a great low impact way to exercise and have fun at the same time. I surpassed all expectations for myself in the sport when at the age of 52 I won the Women's Advanced Grandmasters title at the 2006 World Championships in Tulsa, OK and again at the 2007 World Championships in Milwaukee, WI.
