3rd Coast Discs

I got a 90A version and it's quickly become a go-to for approach shots, I find even with my bad, beginner-level game I can get a pretty predictable fade with it and it's pretty good at sticking close to where it lands. I also like long putts with it and it seems to like to grip the chains and basket well.

Love how it feels in the hand, grippy yet smooth, and I happen to like the squishy feel of the soft version I have. Durability seems good, had a tree hit and a solid pavement smack and there was no change in feel with minimal visible marks.

Overall, very happy with it.

I think that the Swell is an aptly named disc -- not only is it an appropriate name for a 3rd Coast disc, but I think the disc itself is pretty swell. For me, over and over again, this flies incredibly straight, just like I'd hope for from a 3/3/0/0 disc. In the 90A rubber, it's stiff enough to throw easily while still being soft enough to really stick in place when it hits the ground -- a nice balance. This is making the Swell absolutely perfect for straight approach shots for me, certainly within 200 feet. It's already making my rounds more fun and probably saving at least a stroke per round from a closer approach that I no longer need to putt. Highly recommend giving this one a try, and I'm looking forward to what comes next!

Best rubber disc I've ever thrown

These have excellent stability, and feel great in the hand.

I at girst wanted these as a throwing putter but after giving them a few putts at the basket I soon realised that I want them as my main putters. The feel is amazing and they feel like they grip chains better than a normal soft plastic putter! Love them so much!

The Swell is well ... just a swell disc! Puns aside, the disc is straight. I echo the other reviews that this particular firmness is great with great grip (it is firm like Innova Nexus blend but has grip like R-Pro). This has revolutionized my putting game. I would love to try out the softer blends!

The rubber was a lot smoother and nicer feeling than any other rubber disc I’ve felt. Feels very good on backhand. Very true to flight numbers.

I like this disc and material very much. I do not like the sticker that left grody residue on the bottom(more on that later). Not floppy at all, this is firm yet pliable. This beadless disc is slightly overstable. Pretty much a straight flight with a bit of fade in the end. There isnt a better grip on the market that I am aware of. Now in color! Armed with the confidence of color I was flinging Shorebreak in the woods with wild abandon. A tree jumped in the way of Shorebreak and the flightplate took on a bit of a warp. It still flew the same, just had a bit of a wonk to it. No skuffing or any other damage. In the name of science I placed the disc plate down in a flat pan and filled with almost boiling water (this is a trick you can read about all over). It worked and once cool the disc was flat again. At this point the sticker residue mostly scrubbed right off but still maddeningly left a rectangular mark. Sadly the warp was back the instant the disc met its next tree. I must say again that this warping did not affect the flight at all that I could tell. I truly do like this disc and I am currently bagging it. If you have ocd it may not be the disc for you due to the warping but dont sweat the sticker stuff. I imagine if we ask nicely these folks will send us discs without the sticker. Thats one of the advantages of small business.

I was exclusively a floppy putter user and this disc converted me. Beadless, it is similar in shape to a warlock. Same grippy texture as an inner tube but firm. The 97 A rubber is nearly as firm as our typical plastic discs yet the amazing grip is the same wet or dry. Pretty much a truly straight flyer and durable. I abused this a bit in the name of science and it held up very well. No dings dents skuffs or warping after point blank drives into the oak. It feels great in my hand. Holding this, I feel as though I have finally arrived. Once I have a stack of these in findable colors they are going to save me a ton of (drying) time during early am practice. Currently only available in black, Im checking back almost daily for a color release! I still bag some floppy rubber but this is going to be my main putter. If you have been curious to try rubber discs this is a great place to start.

Tried this disc on a whim and love it. Got a 90a first and I would call it very soft/gummy. Not quite elevation koi or dga gumbputt but softer than most companies’ soft blend. Got a 97a and I would say it is in line with most companies medium to firm blends. Disc is rubber so fantastic for putting. Catches chains well and no bounce back off the pole. Also sits well for approaches. Swell is extremely smooth to the touch, like beyond no flashing. Comes out of the hand without wobble but is somehow extremely grippy even wet since rubber. Dead straight for approaches of 100-200 feet. Zero turn or fade. Medium to slightly lower profile, nice beveled edge, no bead. Made in America, small company. Lot to like here. Only “negative” that I found was that it definitely has a new tire smell for a while being that it is rubber. Not a problem to me but might bother some.
